Finding happiness

For the longest time I thought finding true happiness meant having a significant other in my life that will eventually make me happy.

And boy was I wrong.  I literally had to bump my head a few thousand times in my life before I realised that true happiness can only come from within.

I cannot depend on or expect someone else to make me happy because true happiness begins and ends with me and only me.

Many people don’t realise this, so they jump from one relationship to the next, trying to find that one thing everyone is searching for called happiness.

Happiness to me is not just a feeling, it is a choice.

It is a state of mind and you are in control of it.

You choose to be happy.  You choose to be sad.  Only you can choose to be negative or positive in your life and no one else can make that choice for you but you.

So stop looking for happiness on the outside and start looking for it within.  After all that’s where all our emotions begin.

Stay true to yourself.

Haha this is the absolute honest truth hun! YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!
I had to learn this the hard way as well.

In the end true happiness comes from within and you are in complete care of how things pan out. It feels really good to know that you and you alone are in complete control of how you see things/take charge and what the out come may be. Yes we all have someone out there that is meant for us, but until God says its time…do you and see how freeing it can be. There is no rush, and it feels good not having to answer to anyone, but you. Love this post! Keep on shining Candy! Livy xx

Aaaw thank u babe. This is the honest to God’s truth. It feels so good knowing no one is in control of my happiness on me. I am the creator of my own destiny and it’s up to me if I am going to have a negative attitude or positive attitude towards life. 😉
