Embracing change

Why are so many of us afraid of change?

Personally, I think it’s because most of us are scared of the unknown.

None of us know what to expect or what is waiting for us in the future, so we prefer comfort over the unexpected.

In most cases change gets forced upon us.

We try to plan our future ahead of time, but sometimes when the unexpected comes along; it forces us to change our plans to something else.

Many of us forget that our plan might not be God’s plan for us.

We only see what is right in front of us but God sees far beyond that. In order for us to get there, He forces us in a different direction, which makes us very uncomfortable.

Whether we like it or not, change is going to happen.

We just have to learn to accept it and adapt to it as quickly as we can because sobbing about it is not going to change anything.

We have to accept that people will change, that our circumstances will change and that our lives as we know it will never remain the same.

So many people think that change is an opportunity for them to give up on life, but it isn’t.

It’s just another opportunity for God to restore order in our lives again and to create more opportunities for us to grow.

Stay true to yourself.
