When two worlds collide

Meet the beautiful Tara Courtene’ Stewart. She is a blogger, a fashion designer and runs the social media side for Independent Home.

She is such a free spirited person and with her, there are no bounds. She is a young woman that knows exactly what she wants in life and doesn’t stop until she gets it.

Tara’s passion for fashion started at a very young age. Like most girls, she started sewing and making handmade garments for her Barbie doll to wear. She loved doing it so much that she asked her grandmother who is also a designer, to teach her how to sew properly.

Designing and creativity runs in the Stewart family and Tara’s special artistic flare came from her father.

Tara has always had a love for sketching and drawing. She loved it so much that she actually sketched during her classes while she was at school.

Her love for art and fashion eventually grew into something much bigger than she ever imagined. Ultimately, she had to choose between a career path in graphic design or fashion design and of course, she chose fashion.

Tara studied fashion design for 3 years and soon after that, she started her own fashion label called Tara Courtene’. Her label specialises in designing on demand, but more exclusively for special occasions.

She didn’t just stop there. She does fashion photography, styling and designs business logos on a part-time basis as well. Tara loves recreating things, giving it new life and always challenges herself by finding solutions to problems and uses her creativity to do so.

Tara mostly makes all of her own clothing. The only thing she really spends money on is her shoes, which is another passion and obsession of hers.

I had the privilege of meeting this beautiful soul at the Kelz Klozet Fashion launch last year December where she showcased some of her designs. God really knew what He was doing when He allowed us to cross paths.

To me, Tara is a true example of someone who walks with destiny. She found her purpose early in her life and knew exactly what she wanted to do. She never allowed anyone or anything to stand in her way of achieving her dreams.

Remember that destiny has no boundaries – all we need to do is take that leap of faith and step into it.
